Hands-on experience with hospital bed repairs has shown us that problems are often fixed through a bit of MacGyvering by technicians. Either the part doesn't exist or the component breaks frequently enough that the manufacturer's solution is a temporary fix. Instead of repeating the cycle, BedMed designs, engineers, and manufactures new, custom solutions to fix your hospital's needs.
Talking with clients and our refurbishing techs, we see hundreds of opportunities for well-designed and manufactured products to fix your problems for good. Our goal is to engineer the simplest solutions for easy implementation, while finally ending that squeaky wheel that takes up so much time and money over the years.

Problem
Linet's existing O2 bottle holder interfered with the bed's function when placed in the wrong accessory hole, and extended out too far to fit into small elevators and tight spaces.
Solution
Working with Linet, we designed a new way to attach the O2 bottle holder directly to the frame, bringing it several inches closer to the bed and giving nurses a foolproof way to attach bottles without interfering with the mechanical system. It also helped the sales team close more bed sales.

Problem
The Stryker S3 actuator has a small plastic coupler that notoriously breaks. Instead of offering the plastic piece as a replacement, suppliers only offered the entire motor to fix a small point of failure.
Solution
We manufactured a stronger aluminum option that replaces the small piece, turning an expensive, tedious fix into a quick swap.
Problem
Constantly stretched and moved, the cable for the Stryker Intouch pendant (FA64228) often breaks. Normally the entire pendant has to be replaced, costing over $1,000 to fix a $245 failure.
Solution
We remanufactured the cable, reinforcing the break point to reduce future failures, and produced new labels to replace the old pendant label that must be removed during install.
